The restoration of the Wollaton Walled Garden, situated within Wollaton Park, is known as the Wollaton Walled Garden Project (WWGP).
The WWGP is a community-led collaboration between the Wollaton Historical & Conservation Society (WHaCS) and the Friends of Wollaton Park (FoWP).
In 2019, a large brick-built structure was discovered lying beneath brambles and trees. The structure turned out to be the base of a greenhouse, especially designed for the growing of pineapples and cucumbers, and one of the last surviving buildings of a bygone age.
Learn more about this building, its fascinating history, and its amazing restoration.
