As a member you will receive a complimentary copy of an annual Wollaton Historical booklet. This can be collected as a paper copy at an indoor meeting, or sent as a PDF by email. The Wollaton Historical will report on Society activities and also feature articles about aspects of Wollaton buildings and local history. Regular updates are sent by e-mail keeping members up to date on progress at the Walled Garden and the Society's latest research projects.

In addition to the benefits for yourself, by joining the Society you are:

  • Helping to support conservation of archive material such as historic documents, maps and drawings
  • Conservation of the Dovecote Museum and artefacts therein
  • Supporting research projects, surveys, etc
  • Upholding the principles of the Conservation Area

Volunteers

The Society and the Dovecote Museum rely entirely on volunteers.

General administration, updating websites, finance, publicity, supporting members, staying in touch via email, preparation and distribution of newsletters, responding to enquiries from the website, and at the Dovecote Museum helping to prepare the exhibition material and chatting to visitors; it is a rewarding and very enjoyable experience. We would love you to help!

Contact:  If you would like to join our team of volunteers please get in touch through our Contact form.
