We have introduced a new search facility on the Wollaton Historical & Conservation Society website to make it easier to discover information in our growing collection of local history articles, news stories and other content.
You will find the search box on our Home page, just below the Member Log In button. Simply enter a word or phrase (for example, Wollaton Colliery or Walled Garden) and click Search to see matching results.
The facility uses Google to search pages from the WHaCS website, helping you find relevant information without having to browse through the various menus. It can be particularly useful for discovering older news stories and articles that you might otherwise struggle to locate.
A couple of things to bear in mind. This is a Google-powered search rather than a dedicated search engine built into our website. Results depend on Google’s indexing and its assessment of relevance, so a search may not find every page containing your chosen words, and the results are not guaranteed to be comprehensive.
We hope this simple addition will make it easier for visitors to explore the website and discover more about Wollaton’s history and heritage.
