As many of you will have noticed, the roof of the pump in Wollaton Village Square is in need of repair. There is a significant hole on one side and slipped tiles on another.
There have been numerous discussions between WHaCS, Councillors Steve Battlemuch and Zafran Khan, and Nottingham City Council regarding the likely cost and course of action.
Nottingham City Council initially believed that responsibility for the repairs lay with WHaCS, but we disagreed. Indeed, we have a record of major repairs being carried out in 2014, following a vehicle collision.
The good news is that, with the help of Councillors Battlemuch and Khan, Nottingham City Council has now accepted responsibility and will undertake the repairs. We do not yet have a schedule or timeframe, but we will keep members informed as matters progress.
